On Tuesday, Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) called the FBI’s raid on longtime Trump lawyer, Michael Cohen, an abuse of power by special counsel Robert Mueller.

“Going after someone’s personal attorney is a great overstep, I think, in the authority of the prosecutor. This is why I have opposed having special prosecutors for almost anything,” Paul told Fox News host Bill Hemmer.
“We never should have had Mueller in the first place,”
“We’ve given too much power to a prosecutor who’s no longer looking at Russia. He’s looking at some kind of personal dealings with the president’s lawyer,” Paul added.
Today, the President unloaded on the raid.
“Attorney–client privilege is dead!” Trump tweeted.
