Jimmy Kimmel Apologizes for Gay Jokes in Hannity Row, Not for Mocking Melania Trump’s Accent

ABC network late night TV talk show host and liberal comedian Jimmy Kimmel posted a passive/aggressive apology on Twitter Sunday after he engaged in a pro-longed Twitter feud instigated by top rated conservative Fox News Channel host and talk radio king Sean Hannity.

Hannity went nuclear on Kimmel last week after Kimmel mocked the accent of First Lady Melania Trump. In the course of the feud Kimmel made several anti-homosexual jokes about Hannity’s support for President Donald Trump.

Kimmel apologized for the anti-gay jokes but not for his mocking Melania Trump’s accent. He portrayed himself and his family as the true victims and insinuated Hannity is a misogynist and anti-immigrant. Hannity responded saying he would comment on his show Monday night.

Kimmel’s statement:

Kimmel’s jokes referencing homosexual behavior between Trump and Hannity.

“When your clown makeup rubs off on Trump’s ass, does it make his butt look like a Creamsicle?”

“Don’t worry – just keep tweeting – you’ll get back on top! (or does Trump prefer you on bottom?) Either way, keep your chin up big fella..XO”

What the feud was about:

Kimmel also gay-baited Hannity in the video, accusing him of being sexually obessed with clowns’ backsides.

Variety headlined their report on the Kimmel apology with the false title that he apologized about his Melania Trump accent jokes.

Hollywood Reporter initially also used a false headline, but has since corrected it to read, “Jimmy Kimmel Tries to End Feud With Sean Hannity; Apologizes For Joke” The original headline was captured in Hannity’s tweet below.

Hannity posted a tweet stating he would respond to Kimmel on Monday’s night’s show on Fox.
