MSBNC crank Joy Reid claims her recently discovered anti-gay blog posts were fabricated by internet hackers.
Instead of admitting to what she wrote, she came up with an elaborate ‘hacking’ excuse; the FBI is even investigating the ‘hack.’
Where have we heard this before?
Mediaite obtained a series of homophobic posts from Joy Ann Reid’s old blog that she denies were actually written by her.
In an exclusive statement to Mediaite, the MSNBC host claims these posts from The Reid Report — which include defending homophobia, gay jokes, and the outright mocking of gay people and homosexuality — were somehow put in by an “external party” that “manipulated material from my now-defunct blog.”
While Reid apologized in December for writing homophobic content on a blog she ran long before her days as an icon of the #Resistance movement, she claims these new posts opposing gay marriage and cringing “at the sight of two men kissing” were part of a “fabricated” outside effort to paint her as “offensive and hateful.”
Joy Reid said hackers put the content on her website but a look back on The Wayback Machine shows the original text included the controversial anti-gay screed.
Now Joy Reid is changing her story claiming she “genuinely” doesn’t believe she wrote the blog posts and admits the blog wasn’t hacked.
While she didn’t take credit for the blog posts, she admitted that she’s written and tweeted hurtful, anti-gay things in the past, and pledged to do better. “I looked back on some of the ways I’ve talked casually about sexual gender and orientation and I wonder who that even was,” she said.
Reid continued: “I’m heartbroken that I didn’t do better back then. The reality is I have to own the things I’ve written and tweeted and said.”
So Joy Reid still isn’t taking full responsibility and Eric Holder has already come in to the rescue.
Former AG Eric Holder defended Joy Reid Saturday morning; the left ALWAYS protects their own.
Eric Holder tweeted: Joy Ann Reid apology. Appropriate. Heartfelt. This unique and compelling voice for tolerance and equality should not be silenced. We learn – and change – from our mistakes. She has.

All of a sudden the left believes in forgiveness. If Joy Reid was a conservative, the left would be calling for her head on a platter.
Eric Holder got roasted for his liberal hypocrisy. Joy Reid’s own fans are even disappointed in her lies and non-apology.
You have got to be kidding me, right?

You guys just crucified Mike Pompeo for doing the same thing… You Democrats are unbelievable!

But didn’t acknowledge all of the statements as her own, despite the investigation proving they were. That would be a bold face lie, and you have obviously bought into the PR move.

Uh. And what about her fake ‘I was hacked’ claim and lying to the FBI?
— Stacy Herbert (@stacyherbert) April 28, 2018
Making unsubstantiated cyber attack claims and amnesia is not taking full accountability of your past actions.

She still hasn’t owned these posts….can’t remember apparently. She’s been aware of this issue for months. She should have taken responsibility and apologized from the start, don’t you think? They are in line with other stuff she wrote at the time.

What about the “mistake” of lying about the hacking…?
There’s been no apology about that
Can’t be a double standard when it comes to telling the truth
I’m a big fan of @JoyAnnReid but she owes her viewers an explanation
Otherwise to me…it looks like a cover-up

Naah. Reid’s ‘apology’ was of the ‘I’m sorry you feel that way’ non-apology variety. pic.twitter.com/tiBbYUozsX

Oh so when Dems/Libs/snowflakes apologize it’s heartfelt & genuine but when Conservative apologize you want to ruin them. What say you worst AG in American history & the man that got Brian Terry killed ?

She said horrible things, lied about not saying them while trying to blame being hacked & evem enlisted the asssitance of the FBI. And now her mea culpa is supposed to mean something? And this coming from the guy who lied to Congress many times over shouldn’t come as a surprise.
