Reuters reporter Julia Harte wrote The Gateway Pundit this past weekend to interview us.
She insisted on a phone call so today I took the time to answer Julia’s questions. I knew this would liklely not be a fair interview from the content of her email. I knew she was working on a hit piece on The Gateway Pundit. But I agreed to speak with her anyway. I informed her I would be recording the call.
Julia opened the interview by informing me that a former State Department employee and chief of staff of a far left House representative will be suing The Gateway Pundit on Wednesday.
The man is upset about an article we wrote about him. He claims he was threatened and traumatized and wants $75,000 according to Julia from Reuters.
This is the latest hit on The Gateway Pundit.
In 2017 Harvard and Columbia Journalism Review found that The Gateway Pundit was the 4th most influential conservative news source in the 2016 election.
Because of this we have come under assault regularly from the left and far left groups like Media Matters, and we are targeted by social media giants.
We have seen our numbers related to Facebook and Twitter decline dramatically.
We have been smeared and attacked.
Last month we saw a significant drop in Facebook traffic.
Two weeks ago Facebook shut down our traffic stream from their social media platform without warning.
And now we are the target of lawsuits.
This is today’s American left. They can’t win the argument so they destroy you.
Getting back to Julia …. During the discussion today Julia from Reuters asked me about the credibility of The Gateway Pundit. I told her about our many successes. I mentioned Reuters embarrassing fake news photography scandal during the Israeli-Hezbollah war in 2006. Then I told her proudly that we have never once reported on the fake news Russian collusion scandal that has dominated the mainstream media the past 16 months.
(I don’t think Julia liked that very much! Liberal media hates it when you point out their fake news and fantasy reporting.)
Julia asked me about Pizzagate – something we never reported on here at The Gateway Pundit. I told her about Floyd Corkins who shot up the Family Research Council after reading trash on the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Later this evening I asked Julia how she knew about the alleged charges that will be filed against The Gateway Pundit and several other conservative groups.
Julia said she learned about the charges from the plaintiff, Brennan Gilmore, and his attorneys. She said the charges should be filed tomorrow morning in federal court in Virginia.
Julia asked me how this lawsuit would affect my income? That seemed a bit strange.
When I asked her why would Mr. Gilmore be reaching out to her she did not respond.
I think we all know the answer to that.
The media today is an off-shoot of the DNC. Even Reuters. They aren’t after the truth. They are after hit pieces.
This is the world we live in.
And they are outraged that there are other voices out there that do not share their politics.
