In an interview with Fox Business Network Monday evening, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) said the testimony of Andrew McCabe makes him “believe that there were people at the Department of Justice who were paving the way for Hillary Clinton,” to win the White House.

GAETZ: “This was not Andrew McCabe and James Comey acting alone. The testimony that Andrew McCabe has given makes me believe that there were people at the Department of Justice who were paving the way for Hillary Clinton. There’s evidence for that Kennedy. If you look at the key Hillary Clinton confidants, people like Susan Rice, who got immunity deals that never should have been given by the Department of Justice. You had DOJ making sure that anybody that could incriminate Hillary Clinton got immunity so that they would have every reason not to tell the truth about Hillary and I think that’s one of the reasons why she never faced a criminal consequence.”
Last December, Gaetz revealed on Fox News that email evidence from McCabe indicates the Clinton email probe was coded “HQ Special.” The term suggests the probe did not follow standard investigative procedures, likely ‘softening,’ the bureau’s findings.

PJ Media reports:
“We have email evidence from Andrew McCabe indicating that Hillary Clinton was going to get an ‘HQ Special,’ a headquarters special,” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) alleged on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom” Friday.
FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe met with both the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees in closed-door hearings on Thursday. […]
He explained that the “headquarter special” was an indication that “the normal processes at the Washington field office weren’t followed and he had a very small group of people that had a pro-Hillary Clinton bias who had a direct role in changing the outcome of that investigation from one that likely should have been criminal to one where she was able to walk.”
“The Judiciary Committee is engaged in an investigation, particularly as it relates to the handling of the Hillary Clinton email scandal and any potential investigations of the Clinton Foundation and the handling of bribes or other types of improper payments,” Gaetz said.
“I think we have to ensure that never happens again, that the same processes that would apply to any American would also apply to people who were running for president of the United States,” the Florida Congressman added.
“We just want to follow the facts, we want to see if we’ve got the right systems and processes in place for reporting and transparency, so that the American people have confidence in the FBI and confidence in the Department of Justice.”
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch obtained documents revealing McCabe failed to recuse himself from the Clinton email probe until one week prior to 2016electionsn, despite glaring conflicts of interest.
