Former U.S. Attorney: James Clapper & Peter Strzok Ignored Possible Hack of Hillary’s Server ‘With Consent of Obama’ (VIDEO)

Former U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Joe diGenova told Fox News host Tucker Carlson Tuesday evening that he believes FBI agent Peter Strzok and then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper ignored a possible hack of Hillary Clinton’s email server with the ‘consent,’ of former President Barack Obama.

FOX News Insider:

DiGenova said that not only did FBI Agent Peter Strzok and then-Director of National Intelligence Jim Clapper ignore the possible hack, but that they did so “with the consent of the president (Obama).”

Tucker Carlson said technicians found discrepancies in metadata contained in the email server, which may indicate it was hacked or tampered with.

DiGenova said that when Clapper found out the server may have been compromised, he was required by law to do a “damage assessment” to ascertain whether hacking occurred.

The former prosecutor said Clapper did no such thing, and that such action may have provided cover for Strzok – who was working on the related FBI investigation – to decline to investigate further as well.

Asked if he agreed with the decision for Republican lawmakers to call for a special counsel to investigation FISA abuse, diGenova said he believes the move is the correct one.

On Tuesday, Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) called for a second special counsel to investigate FISA abuse committed by the FBI and DOJ.

Shortly after sending the letter to Sessions, Gowdy revealed to FOX News’ Bill Hemmer that he reached the conclusion a second special counsel is required after learning Inspector General Horowitz doesn’t have the subpoena power to use on former FBI Director James Comey and outgoing Deputy Director Andrew McCabe as witnesses.
