“Totally Made Up”: Democrat Claims Against Pick For U.S. Amb. To Germany Richard Grenell Are Fake News

After a year in office, half of President Trump’s nominees are still waiting for confirmation in the US Senate.

Mitch McConnell can vote anytime on the nominees. But Mitch won’t do it because he is required to use 30 hours of floor debate to force a vote.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft recently reported, Sarah Huckabee Sanders highlighted Richard Grenell who is the Trump nominee for Ambassador to Germany. Grenell has been waiting for months for his confirmation by the Senate.

Daily Caller reports:

Democratic rationale for holding up a vote on the Trump administration’s nominee for U.S. Ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell, is news to the nominee himself, a source close to Grenell tells The Daily Caller.

The accusations surfaced publicly via CNN’s Jake Tapper who relayed alleged concerns from Democratic lawmakers on Thursday:

A source close to Grenell told TheDC the accusations from Democratic lawmakers are “totally made up,” adding “The fact is this is a brand new anonymous charge from a clearly partisan person to a reporter. How are people supposed to confront attacks like this?”

Grenell noted that Tapper’s tweets are the first concerns he’s publicly heard throughout the entire process.

In response to Tapper’s allegations, Grenell replied:

“Fact: no one has ever said this to me ever. You are the first.”

As The Daily Caller points out, Grenell is actually not a big fan of leakers.

Another day, another fake news story pushed by Dems and CNN.
