Chairman Nunes Expands Probe Into Hillary’s Phony Dossier With Letter to Obama Advisor Linked to Fusion GPS

The House Intel Committee headed by Chairman Nunes just expanded their probe into Hillary’s phony dossier.

The House Intel Committee issued letters to a dozen former Obama administration officials on Friday.

One of the former Obama officials who received the questionnaire from Nunes happens to be the wife of a Fusion GPS employee.

Chuck Ross of the Daily Caller reported:

The Daily Caller News Foundation is told that one of the letters was sent to Shailagh Murray, a former journalist who served as senior adviser to Obama and as former Vice President Joe Biden’s deputy chief of staff.

Murray’s husband is Neil King, a former Wall Street Journal reporter who worked at the newspaper at the same time as Fusion GPS’s three co-founders, Glenn Simpson, Peter Fritsch, and Tom Catan. Murray also worked at The Journal until 2005. She joined the Obama administration in 2011.

King left The Journal in December 2016 after accepting a buyout offer. Politico reported at the time that he was joining Fusion GPS, which is based in Washington, D.C.

House Intel Republicans are exploring whether there are similarities to Justice Department official Bruce Ohr and his wife, Nellie Ohr, according to Fox News, which first reported that Murray was being sent a letter. Bruce met with Fusion’s Simpson shortly after the election to discuss the dossier. Nellie worked for Fusion at the time as a researcher on the firm’s investigation on President Donald Trump.

Fox also reports that a questionnaire was sent to Colin Kahl, who served as national security adviser to Biden.

According to Chuck Ross’s report, the letter is also asking the officials when they found out about the dossier and when they learned Hillary Clinton’s campaign paid for the salacious document.

Chairman Nunes released a 4-page FISA memo on February 2nd revealing Hillary’s phony dossier was central in seeking and obtaining a FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign advisor Carter Page.

The FISA memo also revealed Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, James Comey, Sally Yates and Andrew McCabe all misled the FISA court by signing the FISA applications.

On February 20th, Chairman Nunes launched ‘phase 2’ of their probe into the origins of the phony dossier.

Nunes sent similar letters to former Intel chief James Clapper and former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey.

Calls for a second special counsel to investigate Obama’s FISA abuses reached a fever pitch this week.

On Tuesday, House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) demanded the appointment of a second special counsel to investigate FISA abuses

Last week, GOP Rep. Lee Zeldin sent a letter to AWOL Attorney General Jeff Sessions urging him to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate FISA abuses and how/why Hillary’s probe ended and Trump’s Russia probe began.

At the time of this publication, thirteen GOP Reps. have signed Zeldin’s letter.

On Thursday the AG’s office confirmed Sessions appointed a separate “senior federal prosecutor” to investigate the FISA abuses.
