Newly revealed text messages between FBI paramours Peter Strzok and Lisa Page include an exchange about preparing talking points for then-FBI Director James Comey to give to President Obama, who wanted “to know everything we’re doing.”The message, from Page to Strzok, was among thousands of texts between the lovers reviewed by Fox News. The pair both worked at one point for Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe of alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Page wrote to Strzok on Sept. 2, 2016 about prepping Comey because “potus wants to know everything we’re doing.” Senate investigators told Fox News this text raises questions about Obama’s personal involvement in the Clinton email investigation.
Reacting to newly released text messages between Strzok and Page, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) told “Fox & Friends,” Wednesday that he believes then-President Obama wanted to know what the bureau was doing to thwart Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
When asked what does Page’s text about Obama wanting to “know everything we’re doing,” means, the Texas lawmaker replied, “it means the President wants to know what they are doing to try to stop Trump.”
“That’s clearly, from all the other text messages, that’s what they were working on. That’s what they cared about,” added Gohmert.
Rep. Gohmert then demanded investigators probe what Obama knew about the FBI’s efforts to “stop Trump.”
“It is extraordinary. Clearly the FBI covered for Hillary Clinton, the DOJ covered for Hillary Clinton.”
