KASHUV: “[Sheriff Scott Israel] absolutely needs to resign after what happened here. He failed to act on so many levels and him, himself is responsible for this massive failure. This could’ve been easily stopped by the FBI and the Sheriff’s department had they acted.”

On Saturday Florida Republican lawmaker Bill Hager called on Gov. Scott to fire Israel, reported The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft.
“As a result of the media reports coming out showing the gross incompetence of the @browardsheriff, I am calling on @FLGovScott to remove sheriff Israel from his post. We must also modernize our law enforcement agencies to ensure that such a catastrophic breakdown in communication never occurs again,” tweeted Hager.

As The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft reported, CNN says three Broward County Sheriff’s Deputies waited outside the school during the shooting.
CNN reported:
When Coral Springs police officers arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 in the midst of the school shooting crisis, many officers were surprised to find not only that Broward County Sheriff’s Deputy Scot Peterson, the armed school resource officer, had not entered the building, but that three other Broward County Sheriff’s deputies were also outside the school and had not entered, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. The deputies had their pistols drawn and were behind their vehicles, the sources said, and not one of them had gone into the school.
Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel is currently investigating why Peterson failed to act during the shooting.
In the meantime, Gov. Scott has ordered the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to probe local police’s response to the shooting.
