President Trump is in rare form Tuesday morning, thanking White House correspondent Jim Acosta and the rest of CNN for its ‘honest’ #SchumerShutdown coverage.
“Even Crazy Jim Acosta of Fake News CNN agrees: “Trump World and WH sources dancing in end zone: Trump wins again…Schumer and Dems caved…gambled and lost.” Thank you for your honesty Jim!” tweeted President Trump.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) announced Monday afternoon that the Senate reached a short-term agreement to end the government shutdown. According to the New York Democrat, negotiations on DACA will be taken up before the next scheduled shutdown on February 8th.
Progressives are furious with the move, as lawmakers, media figures and activists alike are scratching their heads over the Democrats’ surrender.
POLITICO reports:

As the third day of the shutdown dawned, liberal advocates and immigration groups fired off a joint statement blasting as “unacceptable” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s offer merely to hold a vote on immigration — with no promises for action from the House or White House — in exchange for Democratic votes to reopen the government. I doubted it was possible, but Dems have actually lost a shutdown fight. Schumer has agreed to end the filibuster in exchange for practically nothing. Make no mistake: Schumer & Dems caved. What a political fiasco.
