House investigators were set to have access to all unredacted documents and witnesses they had sought under a deal between Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) and Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein, Catherine Herridge of Fox News reported.
Among the eight witnesses the House investigators will have access to is Trump-hating FBI agent Peter Strzok and his mistress Lisa Page.
It is being reported by The Daily Caller that the House Intel Committee received all docs requested on the Russia dossier from the DOJ and FBI Monday.
Via The Daily Caller:
House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence members gained access to all Department of Justice and FBI documents it possesses on the Trump dossier, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.
The committee was able to review Friday all FBI and DOJ documents on the Trump dossier, former MI-6 British agent Christopher Steele who authored the dossier, and Fusion GPS, the political opposition firm that hired Steele. DOJ also provided Obama administration applications to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which could approve the surveillance of the Trump transition team, according to a source with direct knowledge of the case.
The information could serve as a key breakthrough in the committee’s investigation of Steele, Fusion GPS and the Russians who influenced the dossiers’ contents.
Nunes and GOP lawmakers on the Intel Committee gave the Department of Justice and FBI until Wednesday (January 3rd) to turn over requested documents on the phony Trump dossier.
Last Wednesday night Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), a member of the House Freedom Caucus, told Lou Dobbs Congress may file contempt of Congress charges against the DOJ and FBI for failing to produce documents subpoenaed by Congress.
Last Wednesday afternoon Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and FBI Director Christopher Wray met with Speaker Paul Ryan for two hours on Capitol Hill. The two Deep State officials told Ryan they will finally deliver the subpoenaed documents to Congress.
It took House investigators threatening DOJ and FBI officials with jail to have them turn over these requested documents. Unbelievable.
These FISA apps hold the answers to many many questions the Intel Committee is asking. What prompted this entire Russia investigation? Who requested the FISA apps and under what conditions?
Buckle up because things are about to get crazy.
