President Trump Says He May Soon Visit Border Wall Prototypes

President Trump made the border wall one of his key campaign promises and yet we have heard little about the wall this first year. Trump took a recent opportunity to remind Americans of his commitment.

During a cabinet meeting, the President stated “I may be going [to San Diego] very shortly to look at them in their final form,” referring to the wall prototypes that have been in construction. “We’ll be building the wall and doing lots of other things.”

This combination of pictures shows the eight prototypes of US President Donald Trump’s US-Mexico border wall being built near San Diego, in the US, seen from across the border from Tijuana, Mexico, on October 22, 2017.

In San Diego, six different construction companies have proposed eight different possible configurations for the border wall; a final version has yet to be decided on.
