FBI Director Christopher Wray testified at a House Judiciary Committee oversight hearing on Thursday morning. He defended the FBI against Trump’s scorched earth tweets attacking the institution’s corrupt leadership and refused to answer many key questions.
Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) asked the FBI Director if the Hillary-funded garbage dossier was used to spy on Trump’s camp and Wray refused to answer.Â
Mollie Hemmingway, Senior Editor at The Federalist and contributor for Fox News tweeted, “Ron DeSantis asks if (Dem-funded) dossier was used to generate surveillance on Trump associate. Wray refuses to say.”

Christopher Wray “demures” then says he can’t answer because of the ongoing investigation.
Wray says can’t answer b/c ongoing investigation. But question is if very investigation is legitimate or corrupted.

Hemmingway then says, “MIGHTY convenient for FBI to have this Get Out Of Jail Free card against Congressional overseers.”

President of Judicial Watch Tom Fitton also blasted Christopher Wray saying President Trump should be concerned about him, calling him “Dr. Stonewall”.
.@RealDonaldTrump should be concerned about FBI Director Wray. He punted on the ethics crisis engulfing the FBI (see below) and is Dr. Stonewall with Congress and @JudicialWatch on corruption docs. https://t.co/CbcFtB0sbl
