Did Donald Trump Jr. Just Indirectly Confirm Reince Priebus Was Fired For Leaking?

To many, former Chief of Staff Reince Priebus is old news. The Republican operative departed months ago, shortly after a brief spat with then-Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci. Nonetheless, the leaks under his watch were unprecedented, causing major headaches for the Trump White House.

Priebus might be long gone, but he betrayed the Trump administration by reportedly leaking report after report to the media. His bad deeds mustn’t be forgotten. A question for The Gateway Pundit reader this fine Friday is if Donald Trump Jr. just confirmed that Reince Priebus was fired for leaking?

Former NYPD officer and The Rebel radio host John Cardillo noted Rep. Adam Schiff “seems awfully nervous that his leaking might be investigated.”

“We see how well being a leaker went for Reince’s career,” added Cardillo.

The tweet was retweeted by Trump Jr., seemingly suggesting the president’s son confirmed Reince was jettisoned from the White House for leaking.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported ex-Chief of Staff Reince Priebus has long been accused of leaking White House inner workings to the press. Over a summer dinner with President Trump, Fox News’ Kimberly Guilfoyle revealed ‘problem’ Reince Priebus was the administration’s leaker.

Mediaite reports:

The Five co-host was invited, along with her colleague Sean Hannity and former Fox News Executive Bill Shine, to the White House Wednesday night to dine with the president. And a report from The New York Times alleges that Guilfoyle told Trump that his Chief of Staff was ‘a problem’ and ‘a leaker’ during that dinner. According to an anonymous source who was briefed on their conversation, Guilfoyle also told the president that Priebus was “someone who was not serving his agenda.”

Scaramucci, who has a colorful past with Priebus, once dared the Chief of Staff to prove he isn’t the leaker during an interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo.

Washington Examiner reports:

“If Reince wants to explain that he’s not a leaker, let him do that,” Scaramucci said on CNN.

His comment came hours after Scaramucci tweeted that he was going to be contacting the FBI about the leak of his personal financial information, and ended his tweet “@Reince45.”

“He’s responsible for understanding and uncovering and helping me do that inside the White House, which is why I put that tweet out last night,” he said.

News of Kimberly Guilfoyle pointing the finger at Priebus came amid a watershed moment for the White House — Scaramucci presented to President Trump a diagram outlining Priebus’ leaks. We do not know if the presentation was the final straw before the President let Priebus go.

On July 28th, President Trump fired Priebus and replaced him with General John Kelly.
