MAGA: Republican Senators Speak Out Against Bob Corker, Defend POTUS Trump

President Trump is NOT happy with swamptastic Senator Bob Corker (R-TN). Corker told the media this week that Cabinet members like Gen. Mattis and Tillerson prevent the White House from all out chaos. In a Sunday morning tweet storm, President Trump laced into Corker.

USA Today reports:

President Donald Trump used his Sunday morning to blast U.S. Sen. Bob Corker on Twitter, lashing out at the Tennessee Republican days after Corker had his own harsh words for the administration.

Early Sunday in three tweets, Trump took credit for Corker deciding against running for re-election, saying he denied an endorsement after Corker “begged” for one.

“Senator Bob Corker ‘begged” me to endorse him for re-election in Tennessee. I said ‘NO’ and he dropped out (said he could not win without…,” the first tweet reads.

“..my endorsement). He also wanted to be Secretary of State, I said ‘NO THANKS.’ He is also largely responsible for the horrendous Iran Deal!,” reads the second tweet.

Trump’s final tweet says he expects Corker to be a negative voice, adding the former Chattanooga mayor didn’t have the “guts to run.”

Corker hit back at Trump.

“It’s a shame the White House has become an adult day care center. Someone obviously missed their shift this morning.”

Now Trump is back for more.

“The Failing @nytimes set Liddle’ Bob Corker up by recording his conversation. Was made to sound a fool, and that’s what I am dealing with!,” tweeted President Trump.

Mediaite reports:

President Trump has reached the inevitable name-calling stage of his feud with Senator Bob Corker.

he president’s tweet is the latest update to his fight with the outgoing GOP senator who questioned his competence and chaotic rhetoric this week. Trump tweeted that Corker supposedly begged him for a re-election campaign endorsement, and Corker returned fire by saying the White House has become an “adult day care center.”

Trump’s new tweet refers to the audio released last night where Corker spoke to The New York Times about how the president is leading America towards World War III. Contrary to Trump’s tweeted claim, Corker’s interview was recorded with his consent, and his team kept a recording for themselves as well.

Former Trump Chief Strategist Steve Bannon went on with Sean Hannity on Monday to discuss his plans for the next year. The Washington elites better take notice.

Steve Bannon told Sean, “We are going to cut off the oxygen to Mitch McConnell.”

Bannon and Hannity also went after RINO senator Bob Corker.

Bannon says Corker is an “absolute disgrace” and “should resign immediately.”
Partial transcript as follows, via Breitbart:

HANNITY: He’s so arrogant. He’s such an elitist snob. He’s the swamp. The senate hasn’t done a thing, Steve. Nothing.

BANNON: The American people see right here. This is the way – this is what they think about President Trump behind closed doors. He happened to tell The New York Times exactly what he thought. It is totally unacceptable. In a time of war, we have troops in Afghanistan, in the Northwest Pacific in Korea. We have a major problem. It could be like World War I. In the South China Sea, in the Persian Gulf – we have American lives at risk every day. He tweets on Sunday that it’s like the adult center and somebody didn’t have the morning shift. Then he has the audacity to go to The New York Times?

HANNITY: He did not know it was going to air. He didn’t know they were going to release that.

BANNON:  think – by the way. I’m not sure he knew it was going to be a tape, but he gave those guys and on-the-record interview. You saw that in The New York Times.

And by the way, Phil Rucker yesterday in The Washington Post, the buried lede was he said there’s only two or three senators on Capitol Hill that have President Trump’s back. When you want to talk about why there’s no repeal and replace, why there’s no tax cut, why there’s no tax reform, why there’s no infrastructure bill — you saw it right there. Corker, McConnell, the entire clique – establishment globalist clique on Capitol Hill have to go. If we need any more proof about what they think, you heard it tonight. It’s an absolute disgrace.

HANNITY: I’ve been told by people in the room – Ben Sasse, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Corker and even McConnell. They trashed the president. But yet, they can’t get any of their promises completed.

They are the swamp. Republicans are weak and pathetic, and they are lacking in identity. And the forgotten men and women, the voter in this election are being let down.

BANNON: Look, they have total contempt for the forgotten man. They have total contempt for the base. That’s what you saw in Alabama. In Alabama, when they came in with Luther Strange, with $32 million and destroyed Judge Moore, you saw what the base thought of them, right?

HANNITY: Crushed the.

BANNON: The base totally rejected them. These people have no respect for the working men and women in the United States. I tell you what – Senator Corker is an absolute disgrace. And I agree with Jason Miller. He was the comms director on our campaign – I think one of the best comms people around. Jason was on CNN.

HANNITY: I’m sorry to hear that.

BANNON: Well, he called for Senator Corker to resign —

HANNITY: I agree with him.

BANNON: — for the governor of Tennessee to replace him with Marsha Blackburn, a real conservative. If Bob Corker had any honor, any decency — he should resign immediately. He should not let those words stand on what he said about the president of the United States.

Here’s the video from FOX News:

Breitbart News is now reporting that a group of GOP lawmakers back the President over Corker. The lawmakers include Senators Barrasso, Cruz and Paul.

Breitbart News reports:

“No, he does not agree with Sen. Corker,” the spokesperson revealed in a statement. “Senator Barrasso has worked closely with President Trump and will continue to be a strong ally in Congress.”

Barrasso is facing re-election in 2018 amidst rumblings of a possible Republican primary challenger.

Some Republicans staffers made it clear that Corker’s comments were self-serving and unhelpful — especially after announcing his decision to retire rather than seek re-election.

“Given his severe case of short man syndrome and the fact he would have lost his primary, it’s not surprising Corker is seeking attention and affirmation from the Beltway elites,” a senior Republican aide working for a Senator on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee told Breitbart News.

“Senator Paul considers President Trump a personal friend and has worked with him on numerous issues,” Rand Paul’s press secretary Sergio Gor replied, when asked about Corker’s comments.

Other conservative Republicans declined to criticize Corker, but signaled their support for Trump.

When asked if Cruz agreed with Corker’s comment a spokesperson for the Texas Senator replied, “No.”
