WITCH HUNT: Mueller Wants to Interview WH Staffers About Don Jr
Special Counsel Robert Mueller continues to expand his witch hunt into Trump and his administration; we still do not know what crime has been committed.
A new report claims that Special Counsel Robert Mueller wants to interview White House staffers over a misleading statement made over Don Jr.’s meeting with Russian lawyer Veselnitskaya at Trump Tower in June 2016.
As previously reported, Donald Trump Jr. released a statement detailing his meeting with the Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya after the bottom feeders at The New York Times got another anonymous tip from deep state officials that revealed Trump insiders met with a Russian lawyer to discuss adoptions from Russia:
After this story hit the media, people in the Trump administration put together a statement on Air Force One that didn’t perfectly align with the events of the meeting. The statement given to the New York Times claimed Don Jr.’s meeting was arranged with Veselnitskaya to discuss adoption of Russian children.
It also came out that President Trump was involved in issuing Don Jr.’s statement. Big deal…he asked for help from his father.
While there is some truth to the meeting having to do with a program about the adoption of Russian children, it was also revealed that Veselnitskaya promised Don Jr. dirt on Hillary Clinton in order to land the meeting. Again, there is no crime in that. This is standard operating procedure for oppo research during a presidential campaign.
In fact, Hillary Clinton’s camp did the same thing by meeting with Ukrainian journalists in order to dig up dirt on the Trump camp. Why isn’t Mueller investigating that?
Mueller now wants to interview White House staffers about how Don Jr.’s statement was crafted according to CNN. Unbelievable!
Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team has approached the White House about interviewing staffers who were aboard Air Force One when the initial misleading statement about Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Russian lawyer at Trump Tower was crafted, three sources familiar with the conversations said. The special counsel’s discussions with the White House are the latest indication that Mueller’s investigators are interested in the response to the Trump Tower meeting. Mueller wants to know how the statement aboard Air Force One was put together, whether information was intentionally left out and who was involved, two of the sources said.Mueller’s questions could go to the issue of intent and possible efforts to conceal information during an obstruction of justice investigation. The answers to Mueller’s questions also could illuminate the level of anxiety surrounding the meeting and the decision-making that followed. The interviews with White House staffers who were aboard Air Force One have not begun, the sources said. They currently involve only a small number of people, but the sources cautioned that number could increase. At this time, Mueller has not asked to interview President Trump. Trump Jr. was on the Hill Thursday for an interview with the Senate Judiciary Committee.
