Chelsea Clinton Attacks President Trump for Saying #Harvey Response a ‘Wonderful Thing’
Former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton lit into President Donald Trump, the man who defeated her mother Hillary Clinton for the presidency last year, with a haughty attack on Trump for his remarks to the press after meeting and comforting victims at a Houston Hurricane Harvey relief center that the response to the historic devastation has been a “wonderful thing.”
Above a video clip by ABC News of Trump’s remarks captioned, “[email protected] at Houston relief center: “As tough as this was,” the response “has been a wonderful thing, I think, even for the country to watch.”, Clinton wrote on Twitter, “People lost their lives, loved ones, homes, beloved pets. Many thousands of people face uncertain futures. Our President on #Harvey:”

The video clip clearly shows Trump talking about the reaction by Harvey victims to the nationwide outpouring of help, yet partisan hacks like Chelsea Clinton are attacking Trump for speaking in glowing terms about the response.
Here is another post by ABC with Trump’s remarks captioned in the video.

CBS News reporter Mark Knoller, who is usually better about these things, helped feed the partisan fires by not including that Trump was talking about the response to the hurricane and not the storm itself, writing, “Things are working out well,” says @POTUS on visit to storm shelter. “Families happy. As tough as this was, it’s been a wonderful thing.”

Think Progress editor Judd Legum piled on Trump, “Trump visits with victims of Harvey, says they are “really happy.” Weirdly calls the storm “a wonderful thing for even the country to watch””

Bloomberg’s Toluse Olorunnipa posted about Trump’s “wonderful” comment without snark, “Trump at Houston shelter, was in good spirits: used words like “happy” “wonderful thing” “well received” “lot of love” “lot of happiness”.

It’s sad Chelsea Clinton can’t show the same solicitude for President Trump as he oversees the hurricane recovery effort that she did for young Barron Trump recently.
It's high time the media & everyone leave Barron Trump alone & let him have the private childhood he deserves https://t.co/Wxq51TvgDX

Dear Matty-Barron is A KID. No child should be talked about in the below manner-in real life or online. And for an adult to do so? For shame https://t.co/p9jkGbMG4C

First Lady Melania Trump publicly thanked Clinton for defending her son, “Thank you @ChelseaClinton – so important to support all of our children in being themselves! #StopChildhoodBullying”
