A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck off of New Zealand on Tuesday night (Wednesday morning local time).
This was the second quake today on the “Ring of Fire” zone in the Pacific Ocean.

A 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck near Mexico City Monday afternoon.
At least 119 people were killed in the attack.
