Michael Nikolai SkrÄmo, who also calls himself Abo Ibrahim Al Swedi, is a former multicultural expert on Islamophobia in Sweden.
That was before he joined ISIS.
In February 2015Â al Swedi appeared in an ISIS propaganda video wearing desert camouflage and clutching an assault rifle. He proceeded to give practical and motivational encouragement to would-be jihadis.
Al Swedi told fellow Islamists to come join him in the Islamic caliphate.
Al Swedi moved to Syria with his wife and two children in September 2014.
The Local reported:
Michael SkrĂ„mo, 29, took the whole family â his little four children and wife â to the IS-controlled area inside Syria. Now SkrĂ„mo filmed a propaganda video outside the Syrian city Kobane where he preaches jihad and calls Swedish jihadists to leave Sweden and join the âholy warâ.
âMy brothers, âhijraâ (migration) and âjihadâ are so simple. It only costs a few thousand âlappâ [Swedish kronor],â he says in Swedish. âDo you not wish in in your heart to fight and show God what you have to offer him? The door to jihad is standing there waiting for you. Itâs the fastest way to Jannah [Paradise].â
According to Swedenâs Expressen newspaper, he converted to Islam in 2005, after which he travelled widely in the Islamic world, learning Arabic and studying the religion.
At the end of the video, SkrÄmo becomes more emotional.
âI want you to be here with me. I want us to hang out in Jannah. My wonderful brothers, take this decision, trust in Allah, sacrificing your money and your life for Allah, and you will receive the highest from Allah â.
Al Swedi also had a Twitter account and tweeted from Syria.
Al Swedi was collecting welfare checks while fighting for ISIS in Syria.
Now the former Islamophobia expert is calling for attacks on Sweden.
Bretibart.com reported:
Swedish former âIslamophobiaâ expert Michael SkrĂ„mos, who joined the Islamic State and travelled to Syria, has now called for Islamists to attack targets in Sweden.
Michael SkrÄmos, an Islamic convert, is one of the many Swedish residents who has travelled to Syria and Iraq to fight for the Islamic State terror group. Living in the ISIS capital of Raqqa, Mr SkrÄmos has not only tried to recruit for the terror group but has now called for jihadists to attack Sweden itself Swedish broadcaster SVT reports.
The Islamic State capital has come under attack by a coalition of forces which began earlier this month. SkrÄmos made his comments shortly after in retaliation against the fact that Swedes have volunteered to fight along with Kurdish forces against the Islamic State.
âMay the Lord of everything that exists awaken a lion. A Mujahid in Sweden who answer the call of jihad in the middle of the enemy,â SkrĂ„mos said.
SkrÄmo is thought to be one of the 80 to 100 Swedes fighting for the Islamic State in Raqqa as well as another 60 children.
Many were outraged when details emerged that not only was SkrĂ„mo collecting welfare benefits while in Sweden but received up to ÂŁ4,300 from the Swedish government after heâd left the country to fight for ISIS. The Swedish government has seen around 300 separate cases of Islamic extremists claiming some sort of government money from welfare to student loans.
