UNITED AIRLINES Traps Passengers on Grounded Plane in Miami Sun for 5 Hours, “No AC, Water, Food, Toilets” [VIDEO]

In an already hated industry, one airline continues to work it’s hardest to maintain it’s proud spot as *most* hated airline in America. United Airlines, the company known for beating up Asian surgeons and murdering prized pet rabbits, trapped a completely full cabin of passengers on a flight that had no lights, no air conditioning, no water, and no usable restrooms for five hours in Miami, Flordia this past Sunday.

The original boarding time was 1:06PM on Flight 1614, departing the Miami airport and headed to Newark, NJ. Once passengers arrived at the airport, they were told that there was going to be a 45-minute maintenance delay; annoying, but understandable.

When passengers boarded around 2:15, the doors shut and they were told there were mechanical failures but they would be taken care of in “15 minutes.” An hour and a half later, passengers were still trapped in the plane that was slowly acting like an oven, sitting under the Miami sun, with no air conditioning or ventilation for the passengers. Bathrooms became non-operational, no water was available or offered; an elderly woman sitting toward the back of the airplane passed out from heat stroke.

Another two hours later, the plane slowly made its way back to the terminal. Passengers, who at this point were sweaty and somewhat disoriented, deboarded to sit in the air-conditioned airport. After roughly half an hour, they were told that the plane was ready to take off. Reluctantly, the passengers re-boarded the over-heated airplane. An hour later, they were right back where they started – trapped in the plane with no air conditioning and no lighting.

This time, a stewardess was more prepared and came around passing out luke-warm water to passengers who continued to sit on the plane as passengers, furious and disoriented tried to make sense of what was happening and a stewardess attempted to explain.

Passengers on the grounded flight from hell were offered $150 credit vouchers redeemable for future United flights, it’s safe to assume few will be taking United up on those vouchers.
