ISIS later took credit for the attack.
In Israel they lit up the Tel Aviv municipality building with the Egyptian flag in a show of solidarity with its Arab neighbor following the latest attack on the Coptic minority.
It was the first time Tel Aviv paid tribute to an Arab country following a deadly Islamist attack.
