Breaking: Obama Commutes Chelsea Manning’s Sentence – Will Be Released in May
Private First Class Bradley Manning stole 251,000 State Department documents, many of them secret international embassy reports. Manning smuggled the security documents out on a CD labeled “Lady Gaga.” Manning was bitter after a breakup with his boyfriend.
In April 2014 a Kansas judge allowed Manning to change his name to “Chelsea.”

Obama commuted Chelsea Manning’s sentence today from 35 years to 7 years.
The perpetrator largest breaches of classified material in US history will be a free woman in May!
There is nothing yet posted on Chelsea’s Twitter page.
Last week Julian Assange said he would turn himself in if Obama commuted Chelsea Manning’s sentence.
If Obama grants Manning clemency Assange will agree to US extradition despite clear unconstitutionality of DoJ case https://t.co/MZU30SlfGK

The BBC reported:
President Barack Obama has commuted Chelsea Manning’s sentence for leaking documents to Wikileaks in 2010.
The 29-year-old transgender US Army private, born Bradley Manning, will be freed on 17 May instead of her scheduled 2045 release.
She was sentenced to 35 years in 2013 for her role in leaking diplomatic cables to the anti-secrecy group.
The leak was one of the largest breaches of classified material in US history.
