UPDATE: The Washington Blade reports the Sanders campaign says it is a victim of a hoax video–that the DMX song was not played to intro Sanders. The campaign pointed to a YouTube video posted the day after the rally that shows Sanders taking the stage without the vile rap song being played.
Warren Gill, a Sanders spokesperson, said when asked by the Washington Blade to comment on whether the candidate would condemn the music the video “has been doctored.”
“Someone ripped the music from this video and placed it over Sanders’ entrance,” Gill said.
The campaign shared footage with the Blade of a video it says is from the same rally in which no homophobic music is played, but the same two individuals who introduce Sanders are dressed in the same clothes as they greet the candidate on the stage.According to the Sanders campaign, a video of the rally was spliced with music of DMX singing “Where the Hood At?” as performed at the 2014 Masters Of Ceremony concert at Radio City Music Hall in NYC.”

The political media has given a complete pass to Democratic party presidential candidate Bernie Sanders for taking to the stage this week in Lancaster, California as the sound system played the profanity-filled rap song “Where the Hood At” by DMX that calls for the killing of gay and transgender men.
Video was posted by Edwin Acuna to Twitter on Thursday and later on YouTube. The rally took place Wednesday night at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds in Lancaster located in Los Angeles County.

A search of media reports shows no criticism of Sanders using the profane, violently anti-gay song for his stage entrance. In fact the political media, except for Politco, has ignored this. Instead Sanders is praised for his choice of music by the political bible Politico and entertainment bible Billboard:

Bernie Sanders’ street cred might be all the way up. The Democratic presidential candidate hosted a California rally on Thursday where his entrance theme music was DMX’s “Where the Hood At?”
Thanks to Twitter user @Edwinprime, the video shows Sanders strutting out to the rapper’s 2003 hype anthem in front of cheering supporters.
DMX responded to the clip in an email sent to Billboard, saying, “When God shows up he shows out.” He did not confirm whether he was a Democrat or officially supporting Sanders.
Even music reporter Kimberly Ricci with Uproxx wouldn’t mention the song’s anti-gay theme as she gushed in her article about how Sanders hired ‘Obama’s DJ’ to play tracks like “Where the Hood At”for his rallies:
