The radical marxist activists and unions from Portland State University were back at it again, on Thursday, April 14th, as they rallied for $15 NOW at the college.
The young leftists started off on the megaphone complaining about capitalism and white males, as the bused-in SEIU astroturfers arrived. Then they marched through the Smith Memorial Student Union, chanting, “We work, we sweat, put 15 on the check”, while disrupting work and business throughout the entire building.
The march then moved back outside, where they intentionally blocked traffic, including buses and light rail, at several intersections on their way to the Market Street building, where the administrators’ offices are. They gathered out front, continuing to scream and yell chants, while taping copies of their $15 Now petitions to the windows, in an effort to get the admins to raise the campus workers wages to $15 for the lowest paid.
Then they took the traffic blocking tactic to a new level by circling around the crosswalks in one intersection, blocking all traffic for a good 10 minutes. Horns were honking and some of the upset drivers got out of their cars to confront the wackjobs. After causing a traffic back-up that spanned several blocks in both directions, the activists called it a protest, and the SEIU astroturfers were bused back out and the students returned to their classes on 17th Century Belgian Lesbian Arts.
You may recognize many of the faces in this video, as several of them took part in the crashing of the Students For Trump meeting last week and the overrunning of the PSU Board Of Trustees meeting in late March.
