In the January FOX Business Network Republican Debate Senator Ted Cruz attacked Donald Trump for his “New York values.”
Ted doubled down during a subsequent interview with Bill O’Reilly.
“Here in Iowa where I am today, for that matter in New Hampshire, South Carolina, all across the country, people know exactly what is meant by New York values.”
Cruz later apologized for his insulting comments after the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries after he realized there are 95 delegates available in the New York primary.
Ted Cruz continued to reach out to New York voters on Thursday.
Cruz lashed out at Donald Trump calling him a “big, loud, New York bully.”
Empire State voters ought to love that.
Via ABC News:
When asked by ABC News if he could still respect and support Trump were he to win the Republican presidential nomination after the latest attacks, Cruz raised his voice and told Trump to leave his wife, Heidi, “the hell alone.”
“I don’t get angry often,” Cruz said while campaigning in Wisconsin. “But you mess with my kids, you mess with my wife, Donald, you’re a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone!”
“Let me be absolutely clear our spouses and our children are off bounds,” Cruz added. “It is not acceptable for a big loud New York bully to attack my wife.”
