The St. Louis region is facing record flood waters after 9 inches of rain slammed the metro area this weekend.
The region if facing major flooding after the historic rains.

Children are trapped on a bus in flood waters near Mascoutah, Illinois.
KMOV reported:
Rising flood waters has trapped a group of children on a school bus near Mascoutah.
The bus is currently located at Highway 161 at North County Road.
It is unclear the ages of the children on board.
The Illinois State Police, Mascoutah, Belleville, and St. Clair County, Illinois officials are all on the scene.
More… The bus with 18 children was swept off the road.

UPDATE: The children were rescued by emergency workers.
Water Rescue: BFD assisted Mascoutah FD with rescue of students and driver from school bus stranded in high water. No reported injuries.
