Texas Governor Greg Abbott did a number on President Obama this week after Obama’s executive amnesty was shut down by a federal court.
On Monday, a federal appeals court upheld a federal judge’s injunction blocking the president’s executive action to grant amnesty to approximately 5 million illegal immigrants, and the governor was noticeably happy.
“The court’s decision is a vindication for the rule of law and the Constitution,” he wrote in a statement. “The president’s job is to enforce the immigration laws, not rewrite them. President Obama should abandon his lawless executive amnesty program and start enforcing the law today.”
It’s nice to see a governor defending his state from the lawless Obama administration.
