US C-130 Plane Crashes in Afghanistan – 12 Dead

A US C-130 transport plane crashed today in Afghanistan.
Officials are investigating the crash.
12 people were killed.
The Telegraph reported:

An American C-130 transport plane crashed at Jalalabad airport, Afghanistan, shortly after midnight on Friday morning, according to officials.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the crash or casualties.

“Status of passengers and crew members is unknown,” a Pentagon official told the AFP news agency.

The city is close to the eastern border with Pakistan, an area prone to Taliban attacks.
