Eight St. Clair County students could face expulsion over a school bathroom attack that was caught on tape.
The assault happened Friday morning at St. Clair County High School in Odenville.
A video released on the internet shows a student repeatedly punch and throw a smaller student to the floor as a number of students look on.
“What really bothered me the most is when he was slammed down and you heard that God-awful cry. Man, that just, that sent a chill down my back,” said Scott Corbin, a parent at St. Clair County High School.
Another student blocked the door to keep the victim from leaving the bathroom.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office said that eight students were removed from the school Friday and that two face action in the juvenile court system.
“There were three deputy sheriffs and two probation officers on campus within an hour. All the individuals who were involved were promptly arrested and transported to juvenile and were locked up in juvenile,” Principal Brian Terry said.
All eight students face possible expulsion and Terry told WVTM 13 he does not expect any of them to return to campus.
