Tom Hanks is starring in a new Spielberg movie “Bridge of Spies” based on the 1960 U-2 incident.
Plot: Brooklyn lawyer James B. Donovan (Tom Hanks) is thrust into the center of the Cold War when he is given a mission to negotiate the release of Francis Gary Powers, a pilot whose U-2 spy plane was shot down over the Soviet Union. The story is based on the book of the same name written in 2010.
The movie opens to audiences on October 16th and happens to come at the same time as Russia is kicking Obama’s ass from Ukraine to Syria.
In the TV spot for the movie children recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
The movie blurs out “Under God” when they get to that part.
It is a Hollywood movie, after all.
