“Don’t Go in the Ocean, That’s the Shark’s House”

WBTV reported:

Veronica-Pooh Nash Poleate says she’s a school counselor with the Hamilton County Department of Education in Tennessee.

Poleate has posted dozens of videos on her Facebook page, but the one she posted Sunday about recent shark attacks along the Carolina coast. It has already been shared nearly 130,000 times online.

“My spirit was troubled this morning when I had the news on and they was talking about somebody else done got ate up by a shark,” she said in the video while driving to church. “I want you all to be mindful, when you’re vacationing. You know, you’re going to the beach… do that. Go to the beach. Don’t go to the ocean. Okay? The ocean is the sharks’ house.”

She adds in that it has nothing to do with the ability to swim, saying she can swim.

“My whole body is a floatation device, I don’t have to do nothing to float,” she said. “But I’m not going to the ocean, because that’s the sharks’ house.”

“The shark has the right to eat you up when you in his house. When chickens come in my house – guess what – they get ate,” she joked. “When pigs come in my house, they on the plate. So, when you go in the sharks’ house… you gone get ate up.”
