The United Nations tries its best to stick its Progressive, controlling tentacles into everything. From how oil companies should react to Climate Change, to how much food you should consume, the UN is more than happy to dictate every aspect of everyone’s lives. And recently, even how you should punish your children in your own home.

A new UN Human Rights report states that parents in the United Kingdom should not have the right to use “corporal punishment”, aka spank, their children at home and that all legal protections allowing such behavior should be removed:
- The Committee remains concerned that corporal punishment is still not fully outlawed in the home and certain educational and alternative care facilities in the United Kingdom and in almost all British Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories. It is further concerned about the lack of explicit prohibition of corporal punishment in the home and the existing legal defences of “reasonable punishment” in England, Wales and Northern Ireland or “justifiable assault” in Scotland (arts. 7 and 24).
The State party should take practical steps, including through legislative measures where appropriate, to put an end to corporal punishment in all settings, including the home, throughout United Kingdom and all Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories, and repeal all existing legal defences across the State party’s jurisdiction. It should encourage non-violent forms of discipline as alternatives to corporal punishment, and conduct public information campaigns to raise awareness about its harmful effects.”
So the United Nations wants parents arrested for spanking their child at home, but if a mother chooses to murder her child through “family planning” it’s a human right which should be encouraged and protected??
With a moral compass as skewed as that, the next thing you know a UN official will suggest that we need to “make every effort” to decrease the global population in order to fight Climate Change ..or some other ridiculous notion.
Oh.. wait.. they already have.
