Triana-Valenzuela was arrested in 2003 for driving under the influence, speeding and driving without a license. He was turned over to immigration authorities after his 2003 arrest.
ABC 7 reported:

A Weld County man killed in a rollover accident earlier this week had been arrested multiple times, but none of the arresting agencies linked him to an active warrant out of Morgan County dating back to 2003.

Jose Triana-Valenzuela, 42, of Keenseburg was eastbound on Weld County Road 10 early Monday morning, when he lost control of the vehicle about a half-mile east of County Road 63.

State Patrol investigators say the victim was ejected from the Chevy Cavalier and died at the scene.

Two passengers, both males, ages 15 and 17 were injured in the crash and were taken to Children’s Hospital. Neighbors say one of the boys was Triana-Valenzuela’s son and the other was a nephew.

All three were heading to work at a local farm.

Triana-Valenzuela was first arrested in Morgan County on May 1, 2003 for Driving Under the Influence, Speeding and Driving Without a License.

Authorities say that following his arrest, he was turned over to Immigration authorities.

Wonder if he was previously deported when in immigration custody or if they just let him go, costing taxpayers and these teens?
