Sen. Mike Lee: ABC Is Not Concerned About Making Sure Its Reporters Are Trustworthy (VIDEO)

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) responded Friday to the report that George Stephanopoulos concealed his donations to the Clinton Foundation from ABC viewers as he acted as liberal attack dog on the channel.

Sen. Mike Lee: He did get his start in the Clinton White House. He did in fact donate $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation. And, he did attack Peter Schweizer, the author of Clinton Cash, as if he were a prosecutor going after him. The thought that kept coming to my mind as I watched that interview was, this is a cross examination. This is not somebody who is trying to get to the truth. This is somebody who is trying to make a case… Maybe he should step this one out.

Martha MacCullum: And you said you would not go on ABC until you’re satisfied that’s going to happen.

Sen. Mike Lee: My staff has advised me of that. I’ll make my own choice whenever interview opportunities come up. My staff has a point. ABC is apparently, thus far, isn’t all that concerned about making sure its reporters are trustworthy. Making sure its reporters are neutral arbiters of the facts and not partisans.
