Influential liberal thinkers such as Charles M. Blow, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Sally Kohn and Judd Legum took to Twitter Sunday evening to race-bait about the deadly biker gang shootout that took place in Waco, Texas on Sunday afternoon.

Nine bikers were killed while another 18 were wounded in the massive fight that was shut down after a firefight with law enforcement. Around 170 bikers were arrested according to KXAN-TV. That police used deadly force to quell the biker gang brawl was lost on the liberal intellectuals.

Photographs of the aftermath showed that the participants were white men wearing motorcycle gang attire.

Charles M. Blow, a columnist for the New York Times wrote several comments implicitly comparing the treatment by police of the white bikers to Black rioters.

“When will the curfew be established in #Waco? Oh, that’s right…”

“When are we going to start asking how many of the ppl in the #Waco slaughter grew up in single-parent homes? Oh, that’s right…”

“When will the national guard be activated in #Waco? Oh, that’s right…

Ta-Nehisi Coates is senior editor for the Atlantic. He was awarded the George Polk Award in 2014 for an essay calling for reparations for African-Americans.

“Why won’t America’s biker gangs be more like Dr. Martin Luther King? #TheyTooHaveADream”

“It’s clearly Toby Keith’s fault for glorifying the foul, ugly, hateful, term “White Trash.” #SeemsLegit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Trash_with_Money …”

Sally Kohn is a columnist with the Daily Beast and CNN contributor

As reported by Twitchy, Kohn asked why biker gangs were being called biker gangs.

“A Muslim only has to attack 1 person to be “terrorist.” A black man just has to be killed by cops to be “thug.” But 9 dead? Uh, “biker gang””

Judd Legum is Editor-in-Chief of Think Progress.

As the headline, This Photo Is Raising Questions About How Police Are Treating White Bikers After A Mass Murder, suggests, Legum wrote about a photo of a group of white bikers being detained by police in an apparent casual setting.

A note for liberal intellectuals reading this article: Sarah Palin, pictured above, was not at the Waco biker gang shootout. The photo is from her 2011 appearance at Rolling Thunder, an annual gathering in Washington, D.C., of hundreds of thousands of peaceful motorcycle-riding veterans seeking accountability for service members who are POW/MIA.
