UN Climate Official, Christiana Figueres, admitted that the United Nations is in the process of fundamentally transforming the economic development of the world.

But in a recently discovered video, she also suggested that world society is going to need more and more global governance muscle:

I am very convinced that society as a whole, global society, is moving to a point where we are going to need more and more global governance muscle than we have had in the past.

“When you look at the history of mankind we have moved from the individual family, to the tribe, to the villages and communities, to the nation state, and now we are at the planetary level.

“We didn’t have that 5,000 years ago.

“We are now at the level in which increasing number of challenges are going to have to be addressed at the planetary level.”
