SHOOTING Near West County Mall in St. Louis – Cops Shoot Robber in Car

There was a shooting today near the West County Mall in St. Louis County today around 1 PM CT.
A robber was reportedly shot running by police.

The police shot the suspect when they were driving away from TJ Maxx.
St. Louis Today reported:

Two officers got out of one of the patrol cars and approached a black Dodge Charger in the parking lot when the car jumped the curb, Krumm said. One of the officers, believing the car was coming at him, shot at the driver and hit him in the arm.

The Charger continued onto Manchester and traveled west with police in pursuit before the car jumped another curb and came to a stop at Manchester and West County Center Drive, at the entrance to the Edward Jones headquarters, Krumm said.

The suspects jumped out of the car and threw a blue bag into a stormwater inlet, he said. Police later recovered the bag, which contained a pair of jeans with store tags on them.

A bullet hole could be seen in the driver’s side window of the car.

The injured suspect was taken to a hospital and another man was taken into custody, according to Shawn McGuire, a St. Louis County police spokesman.
