A student at New Mexico State University sent this email he/she received from the Student Services Office. The email is promoting Obama’s Affordable Care Act. The school is also encouraging non-citizens to apply. This comes from the student at NMSUA in Alamogordo, New Mexico.

Do you need Medicaid or other health insurance for you and your family?
Enrollment for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act is through February 15, 2015!
New Mexico has many Free or Low Cost health insurance options. New Mexico Primary Care Association representatives will be at NMSU Alamogordo to speak to anyone interested in finding out more information:
Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm in the Student Services Conference Room
Note: Centennial Care of NM Medicaid Expansion is available:
· NM Residents
· Ages 18-64
· Must meet income requirements.
Documents to bring:
Proof of citizenship or immigration status (such as social security number, birth certificate, etc.), picture ID, proof of residency, proof of income, proof of household size, and/or last 3 months of unpaid medical bills (if any). Many non-citizens may be eligible!
No appointment needed!
Of course, Barack Obama told American audiences that non-citizens would not be covered under his plan.
Not everyone believed him at the time.
