A St. Louis teenager was killed tonight by city police.
The suspect reportedly shot at the officer during a chase.
The shooting took place around 7:30 PM CT.
Hundreds of protesters, including Ferguson protest leaders, took to the street after the shooting.

The protesters are screaming at the police and attacking police cars after a teen was killed when he fired at an officer.

The officer was not injured. A gun was recovered from the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
KSDK reported:
Police are on the scene of an officer-involved shooting in the 4100 block of Shaw Blvd. in south St. Louis.
Schron Jackson, a spokesperson for the St. Louis Police Department, says the suspect involved in the shooting is deceased.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s twitter page, an officer working secondary duty attempted a pedestrian check when the suspect fled on foot. The officer then pursued the suspect.
During the pursuit, the suspect turned and fired at the officer. The officer, fearing for his safety, returned fire fatally wounding the suspect. A gun was recovered from the scene.

UPDATE: (10:45 CT) There are hundreds of protesters on Shaw Avenue and Klemm in St. Louis City.
The crowd is growing.
According to our source at the scene a black youth was shot be a white police officer.
UPDATE: The Protesters are marching and chanting, “F*ck the police!”
UPDATE: The local police scanner just announced that no police officers are allowed to leave until further notice. Mandatory overtime until the situation is under control.

UPDATE: Protesters are already spreading rumors that the teen was tased first and then shot 16 times.
This could get really ugly. Ferguson is a playground compared to certain neighborhoods in St. Louis city.
