‘When Irish Eyes Are Smiling’ – Daniel O’Donnell Honors Bob Lawler in Song

Last week I attended my cousin’s funeral in Sioux City, Iowa. Bob Lawler had been very sick the past year and passed away on June 4, 2014.

Before his death Bob’s children bought tickets to see Irish singing sensation Daniel O’Donnell when he came to Sioux City on June 1st. Bob was too sick to attend the concert but his daughters and wife went anyway to hear Daniel sing.

After the concert the Lawler family told Daniel O’Donnell about their ailing father and Daniel took time to tape this message for Bob.
What a wonderful gift.
