It’s an Obama world…
Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl was released by the Taliban yesterday in a prisoner swap.
Bergdahl was the only living POW held by the Taliban. He was captured by the Taliban in 2009 in Afghanistan.
Before he deserted his platoon Bergdahl Bowe Bergdahl wrote this to his parents:
“I am sorry for everything here,” he wrote. “These people need help, yet what they get is the most conceited country in the world telling them that they are nothing and that they are stupid.”
Bergdahl also complained about fellow soldiers. The battalion commander was a “conceited old fool,” he said, and the only “decent” sergeants, planning to leave the platoon “as soon as they can,” told the privates — Bergdahl then among them — “to do the same.”
“I am ashamed to be an American. And the title of US soldier is just the lie of fools,” he concluded. “I am sorry for everything. The horror that is America is disgusting.”
So it only makes sense that Obama would promote him…
The Obama administration is planning on promoting deserter Bowe Berdahl to staff sergeant this month.
Def official: Bergdahl not classified as deserter. Scheduled for promotion. Army first needs to hear from him directly what happened.

Bergdahl was a private when he deserted his platoon.
Breitbart reported:
Although he was a private when he was first captured by the Taliban, Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl was promoted twice in captivity and is scheduled for another promotion to staff sergeant.
CNN’s Barbara Starr reports that a defense official confirmed that Bergdahl is scheduled for a promotion to the rank of staff sergeant later in June of this year.
