INVESTIGATORS NOW BELIEVE THE MISSING BOEING 777 FLEW FOR 8 HOURS!
The Malaysian prime minister confirmed a “deliberate act” was used to steer plane off course.
Malaysian Authorities extended their investigation of missing flight MH370 up into Kazaknstan, Turkmenistan and northern Thailand and south to the Indian Ocean.
The Nation reported:
The search for MH370 enters a new phase based on new satellite data received, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
He told a press conference on Saturday that the search and rescue operations at the South China Sea has ended and all assets will be focussed on two new corridors.
“A northern corridor stretching approximately from the border of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to northern Thailand, or a southern corridor from Indonesia to the southern Indian Ocean,” he said.
Najib said based on satellite data, MH370’s last communication with the satellite was in one of two possible corridors.
Najib said the investigation team is working to further refine the information received, and that Malaysian authorities have refocused the investigation into the crew and passengers on board.
“We are ending our operation in the South China Sea and reassessing the deployment of our assets,” he added.
Prime Minister Mohammad Najib Tun Razak told reporters the movements by missing flight MH370 were consistent with a deliberate action by someone on the plane.
