Thanks To Big Oil, Kenya Has Discovered 70 Years Of Water Under The Desert

So much for “Peak Water”

Thanks to free market forces, oil companies have developed sophisticated technology to search for black gold. Funny thing is, that same technology just led to the discovery of 70 years of fresh water under the desert in Kenya!

Kenya finds ’70 year supply’ of water in desert region

Scientists using technology developed to search for oil have discovered a vast underground water reservoir in one of Kenya’s driest regions that if properly managed could supply the country’s needs for close to 70 years.

Will whacko environmentalists demand the preservation of the reservoir? What are a few human lives compared to the fragility of the delicate ecosystem present in the reservoir?
