SEAL Hero’s Mother: “The Hearts and Mind of Our Enemy Are More Valuable to This Government Than My Son’s Blood” (Video)
Navy SEAL Mother Karen Vaughn lost her son Aaron in 2011 in Afghanistan along with 16 other Navy SEALs.
Yesterday, she told the National Press Club,
“The hearts and mind of our enemy is more valuable to this government than my son’s blood.”

The Pentagon on Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011 identified the Americans as 17 members of the elite Navy SEALs, five Naval Special Warfare personnel who support the SEALs, three Air Force Special Operations personnel and an Army helicopter crew of five. On Thursday three families of Navy SEAL Team VI special forces servicemen, along with one family of an Army National Guardsman, appeared at a press conference to disclose never before revealed information about how and why their sons along with 26 others died in a fatal helicopter crash in Afghanistan on August 6, 2011. This was just months after the successful raid on the Bin Laden compound in Pakistan.
At the press conference the families released video on how military brass, while prohibiting any mention of a Judeo-Christian God, invited a Muslim cleric to the funeral for the fallen Navy SEAL Team VI heroes. This cleric disparaged in Arabic the memory of these servicemen by damning them as infidels to Allah. A video of the Muslim cleric’s “prayer” was shown this morning with a certified translation.
During the press conference Karen Vaughn made this stunning revelation on the political correctness that has infiltrated our military.
“Why was there no pre-assault fire? We were told as families because pre-assault fire damages our efforts to win the hearts and mind of our enemy. In other words, the hearts and mind of our enemy are more valuable to this government than my son’s blood.“
Karen and Billy Vaughn lost their son Aaron, a Navy SEAL, in Afghanistan in 2011.
Please remember Karen and Billy in your thoughts and prayers this weekend on Mother’s Day.
