Soros-Funded Media Matters Targets Fox News For Failing to Discredit Navy SEAL As Birther

Guest Post by Mara Zebest

Soros funded Media Matters is upset with Fox for reporting on Benghazi and pulling the “birther” label in an effort to silence the truth. According to Media Matters, the Benghazi topic should not be open to discussion due to the fact that a retired Navy Seal is an admitted “birther.” Media Matters is additionally upset with Fox News for not mentioning this detail in the video report seen below:

MediaMatters reports the following:

Fox News hyped a letter from a group with birther ties to renew conspiracy theories about the terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic facility in Benghazi, Libya, last September.

On April 8, a group of Special Operations veterans released a letter calling for an investigation on the Benghazi attack and posed various questions stemming from long-debunked conspiracy theories, many of which have been pushed by Fox News figures. This Special Op story is a double whammy of truth—problematic for Obama on two levels: On the eligibility topic, the worst Media Matters can point us to on the retired Navy Seal is that his eligibility stance was the catalyst for a spike in fundraising. It’s almost as if the eligibility topic is a winning issue with the American public.

The second problem is Benghazi and clearly this is something Obama wishes would go away. Breitbart has also reported on the retired military group’s efforts as follows:

Seven hundred retired Military Special Operations professionals from the organization “Special Operations Speaks” sent a letter to the House of Representatives urging members to support H.Res 36, which will create a House Select Committee to investigate last September’s deadly terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya.

“It appears that many of the facts and details surrounding the terrorist attack which resulted in four American deaths and an undetermined number of American casualties have not yet been ascertained by previous hearings and inquiries,” the letter states. It continues further, “Additional information is now slowly surfacing in the media, which makes a comprehensive bipartisan inquiry an imperative. Many questions have not been answered thus far.” The letter puts forth over twenty unanswered questions the select committee should address.
