Zero Dark Thirsty.
Senator Marco Rubio was widely praised by conservatives for his response to President Obama’s SOTU Address last night. However, the media predictably attacked the Florida senator for taking a swig of water during his speech.
This morning Marco Rubio joked with FOX and Friends about the incident and brought his own water bottle with him as a prop:
“My mouth got dry, and I had to get some water. I figured I would better off taking the water and taking the hit for it than being unable to pronounce my words. It had been a long day at work, we had already done an 18-minute recording in Spanish. My mouth got dry — what can I say?”
Marco also joked on Twitter about the swig.
