Obama Hobnobs With Uber-Rich Donors… Says Americans Can Survive On Their Grit
It’s an Obama world.
While the Middle Class is shrinking, a quarter of small business owners struggle to survive without paychecks, 23 million Americans are unemployed, and the median family income is at a two decade low, Obama was hanging out with the uber-rich at the posh New York “brownstone” of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. Fifty guests, flaunting $40,000 entrance fees, got to listen to the president recite his deceptive, Socialist absurdity. And could feel condescendingly magnanimous finger-tip clapping as Obama declared the economy would recover on Americans’ grit.
The New York Daily News reported,
The first stop on President Obama’s latest fund-raising stopover in Manhattan was the West Village brownstone of Sarah Jessica Parker, the actress who made Bradshaw’s “Sex and the City” character famous. …
He joked about his fund-raising schedule, putting it in “Sex and the City” terms, saying it was his “date night” with Michelle. …
A few the reporter did recognize: actress Meryl Streep, fashion designer Michael Kors and Vogue editor Anna Wintour, who served as co-host, supervised the decor and was described by Parker as “unstoppable.” …
Obama, fresh off an important economic speech in Ohio earlier in the day, gave what appeared to be his usual fund-raising talk — a summary of the campaign’s key issues as he sees them, peppered with rhetorical flourishes.
He spoke about how the economy was recovering on the strength of American grit…
Obama, whose second fund-raiser of the night was scheduled for the Plaza Hotel, made a reference to Republican attacks that blame him for the nation’s continued economic woes. He said they’d spend $500 million on ads against him; they’ll say the country is frustrated, fed up.
“It’s the fault of the guy in the White House,” Obama said, finishing the GOP talking point.
“It’s an elegant message — it happens to be wrong. But it’s crisp. You can fit it on a bumper sticker.”
In Obama’s world, he can ridicule the claim that “it’s the fault of the guy in the White House” as he repeatedly claims “it’s the fault of the guy in the White House”… Uh, the last guy. Well, of course. Why should Governor Christie ask what “we’re paying him for” when it’s obvious. Nothing. All we need is struggling Americans to just stir up more grit…while Obama goes golfing fundraising and his wife flips through vacation brochures.
Also, congratulations to the co-host of the event, Anna Wintour, fashion magazine editor with behavior so cruel a book and movie were inspired by it. Obama is considering her for the highly important diplomatic position as Ambassador to London. What a surprise.
