Is this Obama’s plan?… To start a war before the November election so Americans will rally around him? Is this why he is so adamant that Israel not attack the Iranian nuclear sites? Or, is it just Donald Trump who believes that Obama will bomb Iran for political gain?
The Hill reported:
Reality television star and prominent Mitt Romney surrogate Donald Trump said Tuesday that he believes President Obama would begin a war with Iran because it would help him politically.

“I happen to think that the President is going to start a war with Iran,” Trump said on the Laura Ingraham show. “I think it will be a short-term popular thing to do, and I think he’s going to do that for political reasons, if you want to know the truth. I don’t know if anyone says this openly, but I think he’s going to start a war with Iran.”
Trump said a war with Iran would help Obama politically much in the same way the war with Iraq provided former President George W. Bush a temporary wartime boost in the polls.

“That will be short-term popular. If you remember Bush, Bush was unbeatable for about two months, and then all of a sudden the world set in when he attacked Iraq. And he went from very popular to not popular at all. I think that Obama will start in some form a war with Iran, and I think that will make him very popular for a short period of time,” Trump said.
The real-estate mogul went on to predict that a conflict “will make him hard to beat,” presumably in the November election.

Tensions with Iran have intensified over Tehran’s nuclear weapons testing program, with many in the United States and Israel expressing concern. But in a March press conference, the president pushed back against conservative calls for military action, arguing that the dispute should be solved through diplomacy and sanctions rather than military action.
