The radical pro-Islamist government in Turkey praised Barack Obama for his plans to divide Jerusalem and the Holy Land.

Turkey’s president on Friday applauded US President Barack Obama’s reference to creating a Palestinian state based on Israel’s pre-1967 borders, a US newspaper reported.
Abdullah Gul said that “The fact that there was a reference to the borders of 1967 was a very important step in itself,” in an interview with The Wall Street Journal in Ankara, Turkey’s capital.
Gul also urged Israel to embrace the 1967 border, disputing its concerns about security: “Israel shouldn’t focus on tactical issues. They have to look at the strategic side … They have to get rid of this fear.”
